Jackpot for the Ulster Exiles in a phenomenal Quigg Golden Open day @ the Carrick Sevens. In what turned out to be a perfect day for sevens rugby the tournament was played at a flat out pace and once again superbly organised by the team with the finals kicking off as scheduled at 4pm. WE GOT 1000S OF ACTION TEAM AND SPECTATOR SHOTSSSSSSSSSSSSSS CLICK HERE for them. InTouch TVV interviews and recorded finals for playback + team shots and more features will be going live over the next few days. It might be a few hours before the albums are fully uploaded for obvious reasons.

Ulster Exiles were outstanding throughout the tournament although lots of teams had fielded really good sides with the Dubai Plate Winners there and lots of players from across Ulster and beyond, but in a period of controversy at the end so to speak the final scoreline was disputed! Fortunately after video replay analysed by Mr Mark Patton USRFR the scoreline was upheld and the Ulster Exiles were confirmed as champions. In a sporting gesture by the Newcastle Exiles they donated their winnings to charity.

A fantastic day and we can tell you now there is one heck of a party in full swing at Carickfergus RFC right now so get down there and enjoy!

Lots more coverage to follow

We are reporting from a guest house overlooking the beautiful Belfast Lough owned by an x Carrick Player called Beechgrove House a proper olde world farmhouse and the farm is in full throws of Spring / Summer growth. We’ve also consumed some light ales!
