Congratulations to all the club members for participating in all or part of our opening day, which was a huge success with a Coaching session by BG Williams for the U12s & U13s and 3 Home Minis Games including a Girls game, plus a serious Vets Game, then two Senior Games, the official opening ceremony followed by the Dinner Dance. All of this was supported by volunteers who catered for over 250 people. CLICK HERE for the digital photography
Many many thanks to everyone who got involved, for all the hard work and committment. Everyone enjoyed it and we had some visitors who were very impressed by the level of Club Community participation. The visitors included Al Black Legend BG Williams, Mark Anscombe Ulster Head Coach, William Glynn President IRFU, Stan Huey Vice President Ulster Rugby along with David Boyd Head of Development at Ulster Rugby and the Author Matt Williams who wrote the Dave Gallaher book, as well as International Malcolm O’Kelly.
Once again the Members of the Club made it a day to remember and showed that we are a good club headed for greatness. We will have a club player play in a Green Shirt within 10 years and few play at Provincial level. With the website and the new Clubhouse we will improve Facilities and Communications with both a Virtual and Physical home, to give us a platform for growth.
Again, congratulations to all the members who got involved. A Special Mention to Valerie McIlwaine who was named Club Person of the year at the Dinner Dance which was all organised by Anne Robinson and the Ladies Team.
