Dee boyz pick up awards at annual dinner notes

ANNUAL DINNER

Another successful Annual Dinner & Awards Evening was held at Donaldson Park last Friday night. Thanks go to speakers John Kinnear (President IRFU (Ulster Branch)) and Mick Quinn (Ireland & Lansdowne RFC) but most special thanks are reserved for Bertie Bell for his impeccable organisation of the evening. Especially pleasing to see 53 out of the 80 attendees were players.
The prize winners for 2014/15 were as follows:
• Players’ Player of the Season: Stephen Adams
• Maurice Bunting Award: Paul Blewitt
• Young Player of the Year: Rhys Thompson
• Club Honours Plaques: Alastair Lockhart, Stephen Cullen, Andy Monson, Paul McKenzie, John West and Paddy McGrattan
• Special 3rd XV Awards: Oswald Gordon & Mark Poole
• Clubman of the Year: Bertie Bell.

PLAYERS’ MEETING

There will be a meeting for all current and prospective 1st XV, 2nd XV and 3rd XV players in the Clubhouse, Donaldson Park next Tuesday evening 16th June 2015 at 7:30pm when there will be an opportunity for everyone to meet ( new bonus for betvictor )new Head Coach Graham Cloke where he, and the rest of the coaching team, will set out their plans for next season. Details surrounding pre-season training and fixtures, which are currently in the course of finalisation, will be outlined. Graham & the team have put together an interesting and varied timetable so please make every effort to be there.

 

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The 130thAnnual General Meeting of Donaghadee RFC will be held in the Clubhouse at Donaldson Park, Donaghadee on Thursday June 25th 2015 commencing at 7:30pm sharp. Council nominations for 2015/16 Office Bearers & Council Members can be found on the Club website at www.pitchero.com/clubs/donaghadeerugbyclub/. Club Council would greatly appreciate a full attendance of members as the incoming season is of crucial importance to the Club in terms of both its short and long-term development.
