Cardiff goes all-out for Rugby World Cup

Cardiff’s only waterfront hotel, St David’s Hotel & Spa, is offering a unique and exciting opportunity for rugby fans to arrive at the World Cup matches in style. The five star venue is offering two exclusive match day packages, with the optional addition of a speed boat taxi or luxury private yacht ride from the hotel directly to the Millennium Stadium.
Both packages include a pre-match drinks reception and three course dining experience in the Tempus at Tides restaurant, with the gold package also offering a match day goodie bag, upgraded champagne and canapés reception, post-match meal and dedicated function room overlooking Cardiff Bay.
The Rugby World Cup is just one of many exciting events taking place in the city this year, with Cardiff Bay hosting two international boating competitions and the Cardiff Festival holding events throughout the summer.
Graeme Barclay, General Manager of St David’s Hotel & Spa said: “We are delighted that so many of the World Cup matches are being held in Cardiff this year. The matches bring a great atmosphere to the city and the extra trade is fantastic for local businesses.”

“At St David’s we wanted to offer an exclusive experience for rugby fans. We’re currently the only hotel offering boat rides to the matches so our packages really are unique. There is so much going on in Cardiff this year and we’re proud to be able to get involved.”

St David’s Hotel & Spa is the only 5 star hotel in Cardiff. It offers 142 guest bedrooms, eight conference and events suites, and a stunning waterfront location overlooking Cardiff Bay Marina. The venue also offers the chic Tempus at Tides Restaurant and Bar and the world class Marine Spa which is regularly voted one of the top spas in the UK by Conde Nast.
