The wireless speakers were previously IPX5 rated – meaning, “water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects”. To test that, the BRAVEN BRV-X and BRV-1 survived
12.5 litres of water per minute being hosed on them at 30kPA pressure from a distance of 3m. The move up to IPX7 means the speakers also survived being immersed in water (1m deep) for 30 minutes.
