From Thursday it was clear not every game was going ahead. But, on Saturday morning the sun rose and grounds men from across Ulster tested the pitches to find that while snow was lying, the ground ewas not frozen. For a a healthy number of fixtures it was – GAME ON.

We travelled to Bangor on Saturday morning in the hope that clubs lying closer to the sea would thaw quicker. The noise coming from the playing fields as we approached was enough to now the games had gone ahead.

It was freezing but the beutiful sunshine made for a brilliant morning. No wind made for near perfect playing conditions and 4 teams where battling it out.

Friends had travelled to Bangor Grammar and we managed to get pictures from 3 out of the four games.
