Ards 2nds 3 – University of Ulster Coleraine 53
Ards 2nds travelled to Coleraine to play University of Ulster Coleraine 1st XV who play in the highest tier of Junior rugby, Qualifying 1. The first half was a close affair ending 10-3 to UUC but they took control of the 2nd half and ran in several late tries to progress to the next round of the Junior Cup.
Ards 3rds 18 – Armagh 13
Ian Presho’s 3rd XV had a great win against Armagh 3rds at Hamilton Park.
Ards 4ths 74 – Randalstown 10
The Black Knight’s commenced their league campaign with a very convincing win against Randalstown.
This match saw Black Knight’s debuts to Davy Thompson and Simon Crowe and the return to action of Davy Savage, Neil Workman and Will McCutcheon.
On a sour note Davy Thompson,who was having a commanding game, was stretchered off with a knee injury…hopefully this is not too serious and does not deter Davy.
