Saturday sees the famous Six Nations Trophy on display at the Palace Grounds for it’s first ever visit to Armagh Rugby Club.
The Trophy will be accompanied with the Irish international assistant coach, Les Kiss. Although Les has been a recent recruit to the Irish coaching staff he has a truly international rugby pedigree having coached no less than three Australian super 12 sides not to mention being on the South African Springbok’s staff.
Also in attendance will be several of the mighty Ulster rugby stars. Lock forward, Ian Henderson and centre three-quarter, Luke Marshall will be meeting and greeting the
Ex president of the Irish Rugby Football Union,Armagh’s own John Callaghan, plans to get his hands back on the coveted silverware. John was president of the IRFU when the home side won their last & only second time to win the Grand Slam!
It promised to be an historic day, kicking off with a club breakfast from 10-00am with a professional car valeting service provided by Donnelly Bros. running throughout the day.
Club members and visitors will be able to pose with the trophy and rugby heroes for truly precious images with an opportunity probably will never to be repeated in our great city!
Just to keep the whole show rolling along Adrian Logan will be in attendance to ensure everyone is kept alert!
