Irish Wheelchair Rugby is proud to announce an upcoming International Test Match against Italy on Saturday 7th February in Rome. The match will take place @ 10.00am in Stella Azzurra Sports Complex only 3 miles away from Stadio Olimpico where later that day Ireland will take on Italy in the crunch 6 Nations opener.
Revenge is weighing heavily on the Irish team after Italy stunned Ireland in a European championship eliminator last time out. This promises to be a massively colourful affair with a large swell of Italian rugby supporters set to take in the match as part of their 6 Nations itinerary, we’re hopeful to attract a hard core of travelling support to roar on the Wheels ‘n Green!
Expect a massively physical affair as Italy like to drag their opponents into a dogfight while we’ll be looking to impose our fast, expansive off-loading game on them.
