On Saturday The Royal School Dungannon hosted Glenalmond College from Perthshire as part of their short tour to Ulster in a fixture played at Stevenson Park. The match was played in three sessions with RSD taking the opportunity to introduce a number of last year’s Medallion team to senior rugby. Glenalmond played with the wind for two of the three sessions and therefore had the greater share of territory. Both sides played a fairly open style of rugby in the dry conditions and RSD came close to scoring on a number of occasions with the final pass going astray when players were in the clear. However it was the off loading style of play of the Glenalmond side which dominated as they scored tries through Riley O’Dwyer, Vince Lux, Tom Galbraith, Paul Ritch and Charlie Sandison with Simon Carmichael converting two of them.
