Virginia RFC U14s 2nd XV Continue Their Impressive Start to the Season

Virginia RFC U14 2nds made it 4 wins from 4 today with a fine performance at The Deerpark when they welcomed Ballyshannon RFC. Seven first half trys, three from Michael McKeon-Boyle, two from Cai Walker, and one apiece from Niall Carolan and Jake White-Duffy, along with three conversions from Michael meant the hosts led 41-0 at the break.
Changes were made at half-time, and debuts given to Joey McCabe and Harry McQuade, who both performed admirably for the team. The trys continued to come with John Smith and Adam Charters both touching down before Cai completed his hatrick. Ballyshannon did possess pace on the wings and deservedly got a try of their own, but Mark Gibney wrapped up the win for Virginia with a brace at the end, final score 66-5.
The 1st XV had the week off as Randalstown RFC didn’t field, meaning they too keep their 100% record intact with 3 wins from 3. Next weekend the 1st XV travel to face Letterkenny RFC, whilst the 2nd XV have the easier journey as they head for Finn Valley RFC.
