The 1st XV were away in Munster with a squad of 20 players playing Newcastle West in the All Ireland Junior Cup, the 3rd XV were on a “mini-tour” away to Inishowen and the amount of players “not available” was unbelievable. As a result the 2nd XV was a completely new team of players and thanks must go to those who came out of retirement or who went out of their way to make themselves available………….
