When the final whistle went on the best game of tag in years at the highest level the championship ultimate no1 team there has ever been in the 012 season erupted from the side lines several ulster teams where watching and a crowd of support exploded in the out puring of emotion for a side who have just grown and grown and worked and been dedicated to what it takes to be champions. AAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it was electric! They are an amazing team and such good friends across Ulster Tag. Being the best can be a lonely place but all of Ulster
Tag is genuinely proud of The Mengals and and proud of what great players they all are. They have done this through their own hard work and dedication and they always made light of their ability and now we are all proud to say that their contribution to Tag Rugby is of the elite standard, this season they have set a world record for the longest game of tag and raised 20,000 pounds for cancer charity. Adversity which could have seen any team loose heart when a close family member passed away from cancer was something that brought them even closer together and to see the smile on their faces at their achievement yesterday in front of the whole Irish tag world was one of the proudest moments in the history of Ulster Tag Rugby. We are lucky as ulster people to be supporters of the Mengal Taggers and their fundraising this year just showed them that all the good will of friendship goes with them everywhere they travel. Great friends and friendships have been forged this season and this is only the beginning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game was of epic proportions. 6 – 0 down they won 7-6. The girl tries 2 of them were the difference. Captain Christine was so proud of all the team. Words cannot describe the importance of this and what it means. This victory was not luck it was beautiful rugby!
