RBAI I XV played Down High School I XV a break from the normal Rainey tie, due to an excellent Down High side who have been producing some excellent rugby.

In the 1st half Down made a very good start scoring the first try, Mathew McKeown Captain & No. 8 captain, followed by a fantastic touh line conversion from out half Justin Rea.

The second half saw a further drop goal from Justin Rae, and Down went into half time feeling confident.

In the 2nd half, Down again started very well after being on the back foot, and managed to get in control scoring a good try from Ben Hale.

Converted again by Justin Rae.

At that point it was 25-20 in a very competitive game. The last 13 minures proved crucial and RBAI scored a number of very good trys showing an extra gear of fitness and coinditioning.

RBAI II XV v Rainey I XV.

A tight competitive game throughout with some good rugby from both teams. Rainey finished the game ahead, and will be looking to build on this performance moving forward
