The Omagh Accies U10’s travelled to Letterkenny to play in a mini blitz tournament involving the hosts, Enniskillen and Clogher.
Both Omagh U10 teams had mixed fortunes losing two and drawing one game against Clogher, winning one and losing the other against Enniskillen and drawing their only game with Letterkenny.
As with previous match days, Omagh were slow to get started and in their opening games against Clogher, they lost one close match by a 1-0 margin and succumbed in their second match by a 4-0 scoreline. Although Clogher deservedly won this match, the scoreline did not reflect the Omagh performance as only for some crucial missed tackles this was an evenly contested match.

Two good performances followed against Enniskillen. In a thrilling end to end game Omagh edged out the Eniskillen lads by a 3-2 scoreline. Jack Moore got his customary two scores and Daniel Bell scored his first of the season. The half back pairing of Jack Henry and Oran Johnston were unlucky not to score. Oran Johnston being held up just short of the try line after a super mazy run dodging all would be tacklers and Jack Henry getting over the line after a break from the halfway line but unlucky to ground the ball after a super covering tackle by the Enniskillen defence

In the second game against Enniskillen, Omagh were narrowly beaten 2-1. Harry Stevenson continuing his good run of form scoring the Omagh try. Omagh had chances to win but the Enniskillen winger showed quick pace scoring twice from counter attacking moves from within his own half.

In probably the most competitive performance of the day Omagh again played Clogher. The end result was a 1-1 draw with Sam Alderdice scoring in the first half for Omagh. There was some resolute defending in the second half with Nial Alexander, Sam Alderdice and Dylan Clyde to the fore however Clogher finally broke through for a deserved score draw.

The remaining game against Letterkenny ended in a 2 – 2 scoreline. Daniel Bell with his second of the day and Rory Ritchie deservedly scored for Omagh, reward for their all round match performances.

Other good all round performances were displayed by Harry Mathews, Mathew Kerr, Jack Latimer,Jamie Moreland and an ever impressing Thomas Boyd who with confidence are all playing their part in this Omagh team.
However much credit must go to the full Omagh squad for their enthusiasm and commitment in what turned out to be a bitterly cold morning.
