Wednesday night saw the second fixture of this years Knutty Krust tournament take place at Chambers Park . The first round fixture brought together local neighbours Omagh and Enniskillen .

On a perfect evening for playing rugby it was Omagh who started the proceedings more brightly and after 4mins Full Back Neil Mellon opened the scoring with a finely worked drop goal. .The following period of the game was fairly even with Enniskillen starting to come into the game . On twenty mins the Omagh Out Half Lee Warnock scored the opening try of the game breaking through the Enniskillen defence to score under the posts .The follow up conversion was converted by the Omagh full back to leave the score 10 nil .Enniskillen had there chance to score in the first half but too many errors saw the half time score 10 -0 in Omaghs favour.

The second half saw Enniskillen raise there game and eliminate a lot of the basic errors of their play from the first half. After a sustained period of play Enniskillen opened there account with a try scored by kyle Moffat in the 45 minute of the game . The extra points were added by no 10 John Maguire . Enniskillen continued to claw there way back into the game and were awarded a penalty on 59 mins which if converted would have brought the teams level . No 10 john Maguire missed with his attempt which left Omagh leading 10 -7 . Alex gormley then rounded off some fine play to score in the corner for Enniskillen to make the score 12-10 . John Maguire made up for his penalty with a superb conversion kick from the touch line to make the score 14-10. A further penalty was added in the dying minutes by Enniskillen to leave the final score 17-10 to Enniskillen .
Man of the Match award was awarded to Omagh no 17 Lee Mclaughlin for his impressive work both in the scrum and the loose.

Enniskillen now join Clogher Valley in the hat for the Quarter Final Draw.

Next weeks Knutty Krust match will see last years winner Monaghan take on Instonians Wednesday 22nd kick off 19.45
