Give your Team a chance of a lifetime to play at Aviva Stadium
Irish Rugby Legends Brian O’Driscoll, Jamie Heaslip and Peter O’Mahony along with Mini Rugby Players were on hand at Aviva Stadium recently to launch the Aviva National Mini Rugby Festival 2014.

The Aviva National Mini Rugby Festival will take place at Aviva Stadium on Saturday 17th May and for the first time give the future of Irish Rugby an opportunity to play where their heroes do.

Qualification for the 2014 Aviva Mini Rugby Festival is open to over 240 Rugby Clubs all over Ireland with U10 mini rugby teams and all clubs are encouraged to enter their mini rugby teams into the draw by simply sending an email with your club name and contact information to AvivaMinis@IrishRugby.ie before midday on Friday 9th May.
There are 16 mini rugby team places up for grabs in the draw for this opportunity of a lifetime for young rugby enthusiasts.

Mark Russell, Aviva Sponsorship Manager, said; “Aviva Stadium is home to national and international sporting teams but it is our grassroots programmes like the Mini Rugby Festivals that are the heart and soul of the sponsorship for us.”

“These festivals are a fantastic opportunity to bring the future of Irish rugby onto the pitch at the Stadium to get their very first taste of what it might be like to play for their country. We are really excited to welcome the 16 teams to the home of Irish Rugby for the very first time on what will be a day full of positive energy on the 17th May”.

The Mini Rugby Festival presents clubs with an opportunity to play rugby against teams from around the country and will be a fantastic day out for the whole club at the Aviva Stadium. This will be a day the mini rugby players, their clubs and families will remember forever.

Hendrik Kruger, IRFU Age Grade Manager said, “The ethos of Mini Rugby is to foster and develop young players of all ability in the game of rugby in a safe, non-competition, enjoyable environment through activities which ensure progressive skill development for all participants in line with the IRFU LTPD pathway, Child Welfare Policy and the Traditions of Rugby Union.”

“The Aviva National Mini Rugby Festival is a fantastic opportunity to bring together clubs from all four provinces and help to foster ties between clubs that would not otherwise meet.”
