Four interesting ties with the four Ulster Senior second xv sides capable of winning these games. Current Cup holders CIYMS have a tricky match at the Dub against the undefeated Queens seconds. Beaten finalists Cooke face a difficult game at Deramore against Quins second xv. With Quins first xv having no match this weekend, Cooke will come up against a strong Quins xv.
Belfast Harlequins v Cooke KO 2PM
In the previous round Quins seconds defeated the PSNI 85-0 and Cooke recorded an impressive 34-21 win at in form Academy. Cooke 1st xv havent played a match since the 18th Jan when they lost 15-14 at home to Ballymoney. In the second xv league Quins have won six out of eight matches played. Cooke have the talent within their playing squad to win this game. Difficult match to call. Cooke to win
Civil Service v Instonians seconds KO 1PM
The Stormont playing surface will suit the young Inst side who like to play open running rugby. Civil Service sit 5th in Qualifying League Four. They have lost their last six league games. They last won a match at home to BHSFP on the 30 th Nov when they won 19-12. In the second xv league Inst have won four out of their eight league matches. In the Junior Cup they recorded an impressive win at Carrickfergus before they were defeated by Coleraine. Instonians seconds to win.
Malone seconds v Grosvenor.
Both sides were due to play each other in a Conference league game on the 4th Feb. This match had to be postponed due to a water logged pitch. Grosvenor are capable of winning this tie as they defeated Ballymena seconds 32-27 in the Junior Cup at Belmont back in Sept. They always seem to raise their game when playing the stronger sides. In their last league outing at home to league leaders Ballyclare they were defeated 48-14.  Malone seconds to win
Queens secondsv CIYMS
Current Cup holders CIYMS will be looking to get their season back on track after four consecutive league defeats. They come up against a Queens side who are undefeated in seven league games in Section Two of the second xv league. CI Captain Stuart Ferguson has a talented playing squad around him, that are not performing. Encouraging opening starts to games have not been sustained, resulting in heavy defeats against Clogher Valley and Portadown. On a firm playing surface the students will look to move the big CI pack around the park. Queens may be depleted, due to representative calls, injuries and their 1st xv playing a USL game at Dungannon. CIYMS to win.
