Lisburn RFC to attend the annual “Luka Marin” memorial tournament in Serbia, to defend their Unofficial 63rd in the IRB World Ranking!

Lisburn RFC has once again been invited to the annual “Luka Marin” memorial tournament in Serbia. The tournament is a celebration of the life of Luka Marin a very promising young rugby player whose life was tragically cut short by a car accident. This tournament is becoming ever more popular and the organisers hope to double the amount of teams competing this year. Teams challenging this year will be from Croatia, Hungary, Italy, France and of course Ireland as well as the inclusion of the IRB world ranked Serbian national team
On 2nd MAY 2012, 20 players and officials will begin the long arduous journey to Serbia. Departing from Dublin airport traveling to Budapest and then on the long coach journey to Novi Sad, passing through the EU border in to Serbia.
