Limavady travelled the long journey to Lisburn and started the match slowly. They took a bit of time before they got into the game but made it difficult for themselves with some basic handling errors. The travelling team needed a bit of inspiration and it came in the form of Connor Graham & Robbie Oliver who drove over the gain line time after time with some great running. Consistent pressure soon paid off when Stuarty McMichael broke free to score a great try. Limavady showed signs of running away with the game but that was the last thing on Lisburn minds. The home side replied with a try of their own and stepped it up a gear driving forward at every opportunity. Limavady dug deep and responded with another excellent try by Keith Mackey. The game edged back and forth with Lisburn piling on the pressure and at 5 points to 10 in Limavady’s favour it was any ones game to win. Again a big effort was required to finish the game off and Philip Wilson & Ryan Harper duly responded with some great running through the Lisburn defence. Jack Moore converted one of the tries. The game ended 22 – 12 to Limavady but a bigger effort will be required against stiffer opposition in the weeks ahead. This weeks Man of the Match is Phillip Wilson who displayed great skill and powerful running when it was needed.
