And now they want the nation to join in.

The brother and sister duo have been doing exercises developed by multi-time national and international Shotokan karate champion Sensei George Taylor, who is streaming two new workouts every day on YouTube and Facebook.

George is putting the free service out under the banner of easyFitness, which is part of the easy family of brands.

He says: “In this current situation, everyone needs to awaken their fighting spirit and harness the passion and energy that these sessions will bring. Together we can fight this!”

George hopes that by bringing the essence of Karate and functional training to a workout routine and streaming it into people’s homes, he will encourage people to get fitter and strengthen their minds through his exercises and teaching.

He wants them to have the warrior spirit to fight through this, expressed in the Kai, the Warrior’s Cry at the end of an exercise.

Ten-year-old Sebastien and Scarlett, eight, started taking up the karate exercises during the lockdown at their home in Farnborough, Hampshire.

Seb says: “Dad’s exercises are really great. We look forward to them each day.”

And Scarlett says: “Although I’m two years younger than Seb, I’m nearly as good as he is! It shows that kids of any age can do these exercises.”

Dad George has worked with local schools in Hampshire to help children with challenging behaviours. He has run both children’s and adult karate clubs with ages ranging from five years to 70. His particular focus is on discipline, self-defence and fitness.

For those who want to push themselves a little harder at their own pace, why not try the PACK45 routines each day on YouTube and Facebook with fitness expert Leon Mitchell, the lone wolf.

Says Leon: “These 45-minute total-body workouts use functional movements and require very little kit to get you fitter, stronger and toned!”

They are available via the following links: YouTube and Facebook: www.facebook.com

Says George: “Both exciting classes are for everybody, so please join us. Also be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay involved and informed on our latest offerings.

“We sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again soon. We wish you all the best during this difficult time, and together we can emerge fitter and stronger on the other side. Stay safe and healthy!”
