iTagged launches new augmented reality app

iTagged has this week (29 May 2014) launched the next generation of augmented reality apps.

Available exclusively from Apple’s App Store, iTagged enables users to capture, share and discover the world around them.

iTagged users can tag their current location and send messages to their friends; view live video content at sports events; share pictures; research travel plans and accommodation; and share their tags with users on other platforms such as Facebook or Twitter.

iTagged uses augmented reality combined with location based services, image capturing and social sharing to digitize real world experiences.

The iTagged app is the brainchild of company founder and CEO Keith Jordan. A massive rugby fan, his inspiration came while watching a Leinster match. He not only wanted to capture and preserve the electric experience in the stadium, but be able to share it with others – while at the same time viewing their own unique photo and video content.

“We devised iTagged so people can share their lives and the things they love, commented Jordan. “It empowers sports fans in a completely new way. If someone is watching a match at Wembley they can use the app to find out what others in the crowd think about the game, watch live footage taken at the other end of the pitch, and even drop secret tags to their mates about the best place to meet at half time.”
