Can You Handlebar was born out of a love for the rituals of facial hair and a desire to become the sort of company we admire–a company who does both the little things and the big things right–since 2012 we’ve done just that.

We got our start in Moustache Wax and quickly branched out into beard care. Here’s a breakdown of our main line of beard and moustache products and our scents, followed by a focus on three of our best-selling items.

Primary Wax is a natural medium-hold, daily use moustache wax made with all-natural Michigan beeswax.

Secondary Wax is a firmer hold, for more intricate styling and longer-lasting hold. It is also made with all-natural Michigan beeswax.\

Beard Dry Oil is a beard balm, a low-temperature solid made with a blend of local beeswax and light and medium-weight oils designed to nourish the hair, provide shine and condition the skin below the beard as well very light shaping.

Our traditional Beard Oil is a blend of light and medium weight oils that will nourish the hair, provide shine and condition the skin below the beard as well.

Our Beard Dry Oil and Beard Oils come in four distinct scents: Wisdom which is woodsy, Initiative which is citrusy, Devotion which is floral with patchouli, and Temperance our unscented oil. Our no-scent-added Beard Dry Oil balm is named Classic – it has only a slight sweetness from the beeswax.

This American made beard oil brush was specifically designed to work with our Beard Dry Oil (beard balm) cans as well as traditional beard oils. Each brush bears the Can You Handlebar logo engraved on the base. The base of the brush is wood and the bristles are horse hair. The bristles penetrate through most beards to provide a gentle massage, while ensuring that the oils cover the hairs completely and make it all the way to the skin underneath, so that your skin also receives the nourishment it needs. This not only stimulates the follicles to help encourage growth, it helps the skin stay conditioned to avoid any dryness, itch or flaking.
This is the first beard oil and beard balm application brush of its kind.

The scent: It’s like sending cedar, spruce and a few lemons through a wood chipper. Minus the sawdust. This scent is deep and woodsy, masculine without being overbearing. We use essential oils, so the scent will fade in gradually within an hour of application.

Expert formula: Blend of lightweight and heavier oils to deeply nourish hair and add shine. This beard balm is called a “dry” oil because we add just enough beeswax to make the oil solid at room temperature. It melts easily into a smooth consistency for effortless application. There are no petroleum ingredients used in any of our products! (We use beeswax, lanolin, castor oil, coconut oil, essential oils, shea butter, vitamin E)

Engineered for real-life: All labels are oil and water-proof. Our cans are stainless steel and are built to survive a rugged life on the bathroom counter or traveling in a dopp kit.

The scent: Imagine crushing fresh lemons, limes and bergamot in your fist while throwing your head back and letting out a war cry. It smells like that. This scent is bright and crisp and makes for a perfect morning wake-up. Scented with essential oils, the aroma wears in comfortably to a soft after-scent within an hour of application.
Expert formula: Blend of lightweight and heavier oils to deeply nourish hair and add shine. Our beard oils have been formulated to also condition the skin below the beard, addressing any dryness, flaking or itching. No petroleum products or nut-oils used in our beard oils! (We use olive oil, grape seed oil, rice bran oil, jojoba, meadow-foam seed oil, vitamin E)
Engineered for real-life: All labels are oil and water-proof. Our dropper-top bottles make for easy application and come packed in a durable cardboard travel tube. The travel tube makes for great storage, and will protect the bottle from breaking even when dropped.
