There is a breed of rugby player who never stops. They play on the 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, and then at the peak of their careers they are called with a whisper to play for The Perennials & The Dee Select I XV – hushed voices burst into blood lust rugby frenzy when both sides arrives on a Sunday almost completely unrecovered from the Saturday night party which has not actually stopped yet. They never forget their boots because the boots are always in the car, they do regularly forget their names but they never forget their preferred position on the team and just how good they are. The referees and linesmen are similarly the finest the sport has ever seen. The warm up consists of a pint of guinness sometimes spirits and half time consists of a top up.
This is the best day out a rugby player could have. Naturally Donaghadee RFC know exactly how to participate in this day of rugby legends and they had camermen on hand to capture the action
