Ulster will face Leinster in the final of the Heineken Cup at Twickenham on 19th May 2012.

“Leinster have shown over the last few seasons through both their League and Heineken Cup performances that they are not only the best but also the most consistent team in Europe” commented Ulster’s Director of Rugby David Humphreys.

“Whatever the final result, the prospect of an all-Ireland Heineken Cup final at Twickenham is mouth-watering for rugby fans and particularly Irish rugby fans. Ulster/Leinster is one of the oldest rivalries in the game and on the 19th May we’ll have two teams who know each other so well, lining out for European rugby’s biggest prize.

“We ground out a win at the Aviva Stadium against Edinburgh but that won’t be good enough when we face Leinster. They’ll certainly be the hot favourites but we’re content with the underdogs tag.”

Both teams have been allocated 7,500 tickets for the Heineken Cup Final. Ulster’s allocation went on sale exclusively to 11/12 season ticket holders on Sunday lunchtime. For more details visit www.ulsterrugby.com

Tickets for the final have been on sale throughout the season at www.ticketmaster.co.uk/heinekencupfinal with 55,000 made available for purchase. At the time of writing, ERC have reported that just a few hundred remain available.
