There were midweek games played in the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy and Bowl, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Trophy, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Plate and Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup in the lead up to a list of Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup, Plate and Trophy 1/4 Final games and Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield, Bowl and Trophy games played on Saturday 1st February.
On Tuesday 28th January Limavady Grammar School and Ballyclare Secondary School played their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy game. The Limavady Grammar School team won this game by 45-0.
Larne Grammar School and Cambridge House Grammar School played their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy game. The Cambridge House Grammar School team won this game by 59-17.
On Wednesday 29th January Ballyclare High School 2ndxv played Campbell College, Belfast 2ndxv in their 1/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup game. Following a closely contested game it was the Campbell College, Belfast team that emerged as 15-10 winners.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools 2ndxv Plate 1/4 Final Dromore High School played Sullivan Upper School in a game the Dromore High School team won by 15-7.
Bangor Grammar School 2ndxv hosted Down High School 2ndxv in a Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Plate 1/4 Final game the Bangor Grammar School team won by 48-5.
On the same afternoon Grosvenor Grammar School 2ndxv played Portadown College 2ndxv in their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Trophy 1/4 Final game. The Grosvenor Grammar School team won this game by 32-17.
Similarly, in Lisburn the Friends’ School 2ndxv hosted the Royal School, Dungannon 2ndxv in their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Trophy 1/4 Final game. The Friends’ School, Lisburn team won the game by 33-7.
Meanwhile, in North West Donegal, Carndonagh Community College hosted the Wallace High School 3rdxv in the last of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup games. The Carndonagh College team continued with their run of good form in this competition and won the game by 32-10.
On Friday 31st January Down High School played Royal School, Dungannon in their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl 1/4 Final game. Following an exciting game it was the Down High School team that emerged as 29-24 winners.
On the same evening, the Ballymena Academy 3rdxv travelled to play the Coleraine U18 team in preparation for their forthcoming Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup 1/4 Final game against Royal Belfast Academical Institution 3rdxv. This game at Coleraine RFC was an excellent outing for both teams and, following a closely contested match, the Ballymena Academy emerged as 12-10 winners.
On Saturday 1st February the Methodist College, Belfast 2ndxv team hosted Enniskillen Royal Grammar School 2ndxv in the 1/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup. The Methodist College, Belfast team won the game by 25-10.
Royal Belfast Academical Institution 2ndxv played the Rainey Endowed School 2ndxv in the 1/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup and won the game by 42-0.
Royal School, Armagh 2ndxv hosted Ballymena Academy 2ndxv in their 1/4 Final game of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup. The Royal School, Armagh team won the game by 8-0.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Plate Coleraine Grammar School played Omagh Academy in a game the Omagh Academy team won by 22-15.
In the 1/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Trophy Dalriada School 2ndxv hosted Belfast Royal Academy 2ndxv. Following a closely contested game the Belfast Royal Academy team emerged as 13-12 winners.
Regent House School 2ndxv entertained Lurgan College 2ndxv and won the game by 22-7.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield Bangor Grammar School played Rainey Endowed School and won the game by 40-0.
Belfast High School played Ballymena Academy in a game the Ballymena Academy team won by 41-0.,
Coleraine Grammar School played Belfast Royal Academy in a game the Belfast Royal Academy team won by 10-7,
Regent House School played Royal School, Armagh in a game the Royal School, Armagh team won by 34-5.
Dromore High School played Royal Belfast Academical Institution in a game the Royal Belfast Academical Institution team won by 31-14.
Wallace High School played Enniskillen Royal Grammar School and won the game by 15-0.
Foyle and Londonderry College played Campbell College, Belfast in a game the Campbell College, Belfast team won by 40-0.
Sullivan Upper School played Methodist College, Belfast and won the game by 17-12
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl Grosvenor Grammar School played Bangor Academy and won the game by 44-5.
Ballyclare High School played Omagh Academy and won the game by 17-12.
Dalriada School played Carrickfergus Grammar School and won the game by 10-0.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy competition Banbridge Academy played Friends’ School, Lisburn in a game the Banbridge Academy team won by 19-5.
The draws for the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Cup Last Sixteen, Bowl ¼ Finals and Trophy ¼ Finals took place at the Kingspan Stadium on Monday 27th January. The draws were completed by Mr Gary Leslie, President of the Ulster Branch, IRFU, and Mr Richard Caldwell, representative of the Danske Bank.

Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield Quarter-Final-Plate Quarter-Final-Bowl Semi-Final and Trophy Semi-Final Draws Saturday 1st February 2020.
The draws for the quarter-finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield, quarter-finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Plate, semi-finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl and semi-finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy games took place on Saturday 1st February 2020. The draws were done in Dublin at the Intercontinental Hotel by members of the IRFU. Mr John Robinson drew the home teams and Mr John McKibbin drew the away teams.
