Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Round Up Saturday 14th February 2015.
There was a series of Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2nd xv Cup, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Plate, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rd xv Cup and Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl games played midweek in the lead up to the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Plate, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl and Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy games played on Saturday 14th March.

In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup, Dromore High School travelled to play Cambridge House and recorded an impressive 58-0 victory. Meanwhile, Ballyclare High School lost at home against Down High School by 8-3 while Ballymena Academy and Campbell College played out a 13-13 draw with Regent House and Belfast Royal Academy drawing 27-27 their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup games. Lurgan College entertained Foyle and Londonderry College in their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup game which the Lurgan College team won by 11-6.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Plate, Strabane Academy travelled to play Larne Grammar School and came away with a 24-0 victory. Banbridge Academy played Portora Royal School and won the game by 30-7.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup, the Royal Belfast Academical Institution 3rdxv team defeated the Royal School, Armagh 3rdxv team by 32-5. Meanwhile, the Royal Belfast Academical Institution 5thxv travelled to Finn Valley RFC in Co Donegal where they played St Columb’s College from Stranorlar. At the end of an exciting game the Royal Belfast Academical Institution team emerged as 25-13 winners.
The Dromore High School Medallion team travelled to play Portadown College in the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl Quarter-Final and lost a closely contested game by 17-12. The Portadown College team then hosted Grosvenor Grammar School in the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl Semi-Final game which the Grosvenor Grammar School won by 25-22.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy Semi-Final, Omagh Academy defeated Larne Grammar School by 48-0.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield the Wallace High School team travelled to play the Rainey Endowed School team in the quarter-final. The Wallace High School team secured their place in the semi-final of the Medallion Shield when they recorded a 35-0 victory.
There were three Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield Quarter-Final games, four Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Plate Quarter-Final games, one Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl Semi-Final game as well as a Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup game played on Saturday 14th February.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup Wallace High School travelled to play Omagh Academy and came away with a 29-10 win.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield games played on Saturday 14th February Campbell College, Belfast defeated Methodist College, Belfast by 8-3, Sullivan Upper defeated Dalriada by 31-8 and Royal Belfast Academical Institution defeated Portora Royal School by 39-0.
In the Danske Bank Medallion Shield Plate Royal School, Armagh defeated Limavady Grammar School by 25-15, Bangor Grammar School lost against Friends’ School, Lisburn by 31-10, Down High School defeated Belfast High School by 48-10 and Ballymena Academy defeated Belfast Royal Academy by 53-3.
In the second semi-final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl the Coleraine Academical Institution team defeated the Regent House Medallion team by 34-8.
When the results of all the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield and Plate games were known the draw took place for the semi-finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion competitions.

These games are to be played on Saturday 28th February at a neutral venue. Arrangements to be confirmed

Grosvenor Grammar School and Coleraine Academical Institution will contest the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl final. Arrangements to be confirmed
Omagh Academy and the winners of the Lurgan College v Strabane Academy Semi-Final will contest the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy Final. Arrangements to be confirmed
