Dalriada 10 vs 0 Down High School
Right from the kick off the two teams had already started their battle of territory. Some good kicking from Timmy Emerson helped Dalriada gain momentum.
After a lot of pressure from the Dalriada side, a penalty was finally won, which Timmy Emerson converted. Dalriada’s intensity at the break down and tackle area helped the visitors retain possession. Once again Timmy Emerson put through a lot of intelligent kicks to gain territory. Throughout the game both teams showed excellent defence,but and on occasions both teams tried to hard break holes.

The second half was a tough test for both teams, unable to squeeze through each other’s defence. Down High had two good opportuities to score but Dalrida’s defence and hustle kept the home side out.
Some good tacklingand scrummaging by the Dalriada side put them in a good position on the pitch. Another good hit came in and the ball popped loose from the Down player and it fell into Scott malcomsons hands who still had some work to do but finished off a well deserved try. Final score
