The match which consisted of 4×15 minute quarters was played as the opening event of the 2012 Brookeborough Festival. The 1st and 3rd quarter had the teams played with a GAA football changing to a rugby ball in the 2nd and 4th quarter. The match was played in a spirit of fun and the several hundred spectators were entertained with a not so dazzling display of the mixture of both sporting codes. The GAA lads struggled with the bounce of the oval ball and the rugby lads found it hard to adapt to the speed of passing under the GAA rules. The evening was a great success and new friends were made. We wish Brookeborough GAA Club every success this season. CLICK HERE for the pictures
