City of Derry Rugby Development Summer Camps

City of Derry of Derry Rugby Club is running Summer Camps over the first two weekends in July which will accommodate all age groups from 6yrs old to 19 year olds. The Summer Camps will be run at Lisneal College Crescent Link which has outstanding Indoor as well as Outdoor facilities. City of Derry has found in the past that with the possibility of inclement weather and the age profile of the younger children indoor facilities if needed were a must for a successful camp.

The Club is hoping to deliver a program of events for all age groups that will target each child’s development needs and it will be both challenging and enjoyable. City of Derry sees these Summer Camps as a great opportunity to reinforce and extend the fundamental skills and movement introduced by all our qualified coaches from the Mini Rugby Section through the Youth Section of the club during the rugby season.

The Camps will be delivered by professional Physical Education Teachers Bevan Lynch (Head Coach at City of Derry RFC) and Haisley Robson and they will be helped by other qualified coaches from within the club. There will be two models delivered on a weekly basis. The first model will run from Monday 5th to Friday 9th July and this will be for boys and girls from 6yr olds to 12yr olds. The sessions will run from 9am to 3pm daily with drop off from 8.30am and pickup until 3.30pm. The second model will run from Monday 12th to Friday 16th July and will be for 13yr olds to 19yr olds with drop off and pickup time the same as for the younger age groups. Parents are advised to supply the children with packed lunches and snacks.
