The recent evening for spectators which saw spectators getting a chance to get up to speed with the refereeing of the game.

Ian Crowe was in attendance and made the following comment on the evening

“The presentation and content from David Wilkinson was excellent. He began explaining the five main areas of the game:

Scrum

Lineout

Ruck

Breakdown

Open Play

Video footage was then shown in real time and then slow motion asking the audience what the offence was and why? The audience showed great knowledge in most examples especially some of our underage boys. It soon became evident to all of how knowledgeable the referees have to be on law and how quickly they have to make crucial decisions that could swing a game one way or another. At the end of the two hour presentation we were all on the same side and left with much more knowledge of the law, how it is interpreted and very appreciative of the referees.”
