Seconds lose out at home
Armagh seconds played Ballymena seconds in a top of the table clash at the palace grounds on Saturday. In what was a bruising encounter Ballymena came out on top late on with a final score of 32 points to 6. At half time with Mathew Steenson converting two long range penalties the score was 6 – 6 with Armagh posing plenty of problems for a good Ballymena team. On 53 minutes Ballymena scored their first try to give them a lead of 13 – 6. Shortly after Armagh lost their scrum half Jeffrey Dougan to a shoulder injury and this along with Jonny Clarke’s early leg inury hampered Armagh’s game plan. Ballymena scored three late tries to take the league points in what was a very entertaining game. The team and management would like to wish Jeffrey Dougan a speedy recovery.
