City OF Armagh RFC Notes: I XV Assistant Coach Colin Atkinson Departs

Colin Atkinson, Armagh’s assistant coach for the past three seasons has made it known that he will be leaving the Palace Grounds to take up a post as senior coach with Belfast side, Cooke, at the end of this season.
Colin, a past student at Armagh Royal School, has formed a crucial part of the team’s promotion from qualifying up to senior All Ireland Rugby in 2010. He played for Armagh in the early 2000’s before moving to Ballynahinch for a season. He then moved to play for Belfast Harlequins. Colin captained the Belfast team who were for several seasons the premier Ulster Senior team.
Colin has brought a unique, open, style of rugby to Armagh and all the players, supporters and committee members wish him all the best and success when he takes up his post at Shaws Bridge next season.
