Ballynahinch managed to secure their first victory in Division 1A in what turned out to be a tense fought encounter with Garryowen at Ballymacarn Park.
Hinch played towards the clubhouse in the first half, but it was the visitors from Limerick who made the better start, a scrum infringement gifting a penalty which out half Jamie Gavin converted, sending the Munster men 3 points clear after just 3 minutes.
