Ballynahinch RFC Notes: Victory At Judges Road Sends Hinch Top

Due to Ireland U20 and Ulster Ravens call ups plus a number of injuries to key players namely Chris Napier, Paul Prichard and Harry McAleese, Ballynahinch travelled for this top of the table clash against City of Derry with a much changed team.
Despite both teams not being at full strength this match was a great advert for the Ulster Senior League and played in front of a big holiday crowd.
Following the early exchanges which City of Derry dominated, Peter Henderson missed a penalty for the home side, but on 20 minutes following a good break from Roger McBurney Hinch were awarded a penalty with Michael Lawton adding the points. He increased the lead with another penalty on 24 minutes but with City of Derry raising the tempo of the game, Peter Henderson reduced the arrears when Hinch were adjudged to have gone offside…… CLICK HERE for the full story.
