Although Ballymoney 1st XV will not be at Ravenhill this Christmas, some of their past players will be. As reported earlier this season a number of past players have been regulars in the Ballymena 1st XV squad this season and if fit and selected will be representing Ballymena in the final of the Senior Cup v Bannbrigde at Ravenhill on Wed 14th Dec.

James Carson, Martin Irwin and Aidy Graham have all been part of the 1st XV squad at Ballymena and have helped not only reach the final of the Senior Cup but also top the AIL Div 1B league.

Also this seaon another Ballymoney player has featured in the Ballymean 1st XV squad. Jonny McMullan joined Ballymena from Dalriada 1st XV and burst onto the scene with Ballymoney last year having played in the last few league games and scoring on his debut against Bangor. The Armoy guy has also played for Armoy youth and senior squad and we wish him well in his progress at Ballymena.

We wish all the players and Ballymena success in the cup final and in the rest of their league and cup fixtures.

A bus is being played to go and support the “Toon” men and Ballymena on Wed night. If you are interested in going on the bus please contact Jonny Hanna before the end of this weekend.
