Ballymoney Power NI U19 put on a mature and controlled performance to beat neighbours Coleraine U19 in the semi-fianl of the plate to reach the final.

A full match report is below. Try’s from Captain Callum McDonald (2), Jordan McCaw, Nathanial Steele and Andy Millar were enough to confirm their passage to the final. Outhalf Steele also landed 2 penalites and 2 conversions to take his total to 15 points for the game. Coleraine scored a penalty in the first half on 35minutes and a late try to leave the score 10-34.

Power NI u19 will now play the winners between Ballymena and Lurgan in the final. The venue is a nutral location so is not known yet until the Ulster Branch arrange this. The final is scheduled to take place on Saturday 20th April.

Centre Jordan Munnis was injured in Saturday’s game and it is hoped he will recover to be considered for the final. The squad on Saturday was also without Reid (Scrum Half) and Brown (Prop) but there guys will be available also. Alan McBurney and Wesley Ferris came into the side at short notice and both played well and so has strengthen the squad for the final.
