Ballyclare Rfc hosted a succesful play rugby event on Monday 12th November. Over 50 children showed up from Parkhall College, Monkstown Community and Ballyclare Secondary. The schools targeted in the project are those not usually associated with a rugby background and it was great to see such a positive return.
The event began with club president Willie Shaw giving a short speech on welcoming the boys to the club. The event ran smoothly with everyone mixing teams and enjoying the contact game at the end.
It was great to see ao much local talent and the future for Ballyclare RFC Youth section is looking very promising.
Many thanks to Willie Shaw, Ronnie McMurran, Alister Lindsay, Stuart Kyle, Gareth Moody and Andrew Cowden for there help.
