Rachel Beukes
The wife of our recently departed friend and head Coach Cois Beukes was a guest at the pre-match luncheon on Saturday before the Navan.
After the meal, Rachel presented a boxed and framed pair of rugby boots to Ards RFC President Mr. Reggie Haddock in honour of her late husband.
Mr. Haddock accepted this gracious gift on behalf of the club and extended his best wishes to Rachel and her wider family circle.
A minutes silence was also observed before the commencement of the game on Saturday, when both teams and officials lined up side by side on the main pitch in memory of Cois.

Presentation of Club Jerseys
Ards had good reason to feel proud on Saturday when club President Mr. Reggie Haddock and injured 1st XV player Chris Agnew, presented 1st XV captain Stewart Paul with the teams new Canterbury playing kit.
The team looked resplendent when they took to the pitch a short time later and did the ‘badge’ proud when they recorded their first victory in the AIL this season along with a winning bonus point for scoring four tries.

Simon And Lesley Announce their Engagement
Ards U19s Coach Simon Hamilton and his lovely girlfriend Lesley Johnston have just announced they are engaged to be married.
This is great news and everyone at the club extends their best wishes to both Simon and Lesley on their engagement and wish them every happiness for the future.

Pitchero Launch New Look Website
As you may have noticed, Pitchero have launched their V2 version of the club website.
This might take a little getting used to and it’s still being ‘tweaked’, but no doubt the Ards faithful will soon have it unraveled and comfort surfing will be able to return to normal, in due course.

Deal or No Deal
Our local resident game show ‘celeb’ Stevie Cole has been at it again, this time on Deal or No Deal, hosted by Noel Edmonds.

After appearing on Blind Date, when ‘Coley’ must have been Blind Drunk to have picked thon woman, he’s having another bash in search of his fame and fortune.

The show will be screened on our telly’s early in the New Year, so keep your eyes skinned to see if he changes the motor or flashes a Rolex watch about the club, as an indication of how well he did.

Whatever the result, he’s sure to have left a good impression on his fellow contestants.

Team Photos
A new link has been added to the club website to enable Ardsmen to view some superb photographs taken by Bill Haggan at a number of home fixtures this season.

To view go to click on the Club Info on the homepage, Links then Team Photos.

Our thanks to Bill for supplying such high quality stills and please keep up the good work.

Mini
The Mini section hosted a very lively Carrick Mini section at a bright but chilly Hamilton Park on Sunday.

Once again all contestants gave it their all throughout the day before retiring to the clubhouse for some well earned sustenance.

Our thanks to Carrick for making the trip and we look forward to having more contact you in the future.

Thanks also to everyone who supplied sandwiches or assisted in anyway to help make sure the day went so well.
