Dave Gallagher was watching last Sunday when the Letterkenny Ramelton Ladies kept the spirit of the game very much alive with pure rugby. Dave would have been smiling when the ladies burst through the tackles and took the ball maybe 20 metres in serious territory gains from go forward have a go rugby, one player was clearly seen to be laughing as she burst through tackle after tackle, an absolute joy to watch. Carrick ladies, what can we say, even in the pouring rain and freezing wind you would think they were playing sevens rugby in Dubai – absolutuely brilliant game.
Both sides, evenly matched, but neither gave up and both would say it was a very close game.
The Passion! The emotion for the game, for fronting up and putting the hits in, leaders emerged and the team accepted the leadership and the challenge and drove forward in the name of victory!
It was also just a good day that 30+ people got a game and played
