My sculptures focus on the power, beauty and strength of the human form. Storytelling is integral to the sculpture, drawing the viewer into the drama of the moment.

I enjoy creating figures that display energy, depth and transformation, whether in contemplation or in action. I aim to create strong, dynamic and thought provoking pieces, rather than conventional poses.

A recent project is an interactive ‘living’ sculpture called ‘Partito’ (Latin meaning to share). So often we are told ‘Do Not Touch’ art. With Partito, this barrier is broken down. The sculpture is designed to encourage people to engage by touching and moving the sculpted pieces. This allows people to interact and express themselves, their thoughts and emotions, thought the sculpture in a dynamic way.

Partito is made up of emotionally evocative figures that can be held and moved. Each figure is individual and connected to the whole. Magnets in a foot or hand allow them to be arranged in different ways on a bespoke base designed to be easily extended to allow for additional figures.

I have produced several rugby sculptures which are being well received with in the sporting world. They focus on the drama and pure physicality of the game and have a rawness and strength that compliments this most physical of games.

My most recent project is sculpting birds, focusing on extreme flight for which seagull are a source of excellent inspiration.
