THERE IS NO HOME NO AWAY CHANGING ROOMS ALL IS EQUAL AT RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015 THE BEST TEAM WILL WIN

Kit and changing room choice confirmed for Rugby World Cup 2015 pool matches

World Rugby has announced the team kit choices and changing room allocation for the 40 matches that comprise the pool phase of Rugby World Cup 2015.

With all England 2015 venues designated neutral status and all competition areas decked in identical tournament branding, there is no home and away designation for teams. As such, the process of allocation of changing room and team kit for each fixture was determined by a coin toss undertaken last year by the team managers and overseen by tournament officials, as has been the case at previous Rugby World Cups.

The winner of the coin toss is designated Team A for the fixture and has first choice in the following areas:

  • Match venue facilities: Team A has first choice of changing room (which is packaged with technical zones, team seats and coaches box allocations)
  • Playing kit: Team A has first choice of team kit. Team A may only choose to wear its alternate kit if it does not force Team B to also wear its alternate kit
  • Captain’s run: Team A has first choice of times within the available allocated slots
  • Match day arrival: Team A has first choice selection of time slot within the two availableVIEW THE FULL ALLOCATION HERE >>

Following the coin toss, which took place at the team managers’ meeting in November 2014, Team A had two months to confirm its choice for each area to tournament organisers. As per tournament rules, if the primary kit of the two teams in a respective match does not clash, Team A may not choose to wear its alternate kit if this then forces Team B to also wear its alternate kit. All team kits are then tested to ensure that there are no colour clashes that will impact on match officiating and spectator experience.

For the quarter-finals, the pool winner of each respective match will automatically be designated Team A and will make its choice as above. Coin tosses are conducted for each of the semi-finals, the bronze final and the final.
