Randalstown had 2 teams taking part in the Ophir 7 a side tournament at the weekend. Team A under Ivan Richardson just missed out on qualification from the group stages, winning 2 and losing 2 of their games. They had comfortable wins against Antrim and hosts Ophir but were edged out against Queens and Lisburn.

Team B progressed to the semi-finals after winning against Ballyclare, Lisburn and Carrick. Queens, who had already beaten the Randalstown A Squad in the group stages then dashed their hopes in the semi-final.
