INSTONIANS WIN TOP OF TABLE ENCOUNTER! INSTONIANS 30 – BALLYCLARE 5

Five tries to one, a bonus point win over your nearest league rivals – not a bad day out!
Instonians cruised to victory over Ballyclare in this Kurkri Qualifying League 1 game at Shawsbridge.
Played in damp conditions it was Instonians who kicked off into a gusty wind. The kick went out on the full and Ballyclare had the first scrum. Instonians went offside and Ballyclare had the first attacking opportunity but made little use of it.
Within a couple of minutes scrum half, Matthew Keane, made a clean break around half-way and was not stopped until he was well into the Ballyclare 22. Ballyclare infringed and from the resulting lineout Instonians mauled to the line. A couple of phases later flanker, Robbie Whitten, went over for an excellent forward try.
