REPORT Quarter final win for Instonians against Bangor Instonians 14 – Bangor 8
Instonians kicked off this quarter final tie in miserable, wet conditions at Shawsbridge. The rain was pretty incessant throughout the game. The team had quite a few changes from the one which beat Ballyclare in the league last week.
A penalty for crossing against Bangor gave Instonians a chance to set up their first attacking opportunity. From the resulting lineout they moved the ball infield through the forwards. Quick ball from a ruck allowed out-half, Fraser Wright, to see a gap. Nifty footwork, with several sidesteps and ginks, took him all the way from the Bangor 22 to score a great try under the posts………… see more at :-
