Charles Tyrwhitt Champions Grassroots Rugby, with Marcus Smith and Matt Dawson, Bringing Fans Priceless Experiences in the 2025

Quilter Autumn Nations Campaign

Featuring Marcus Smith who reflects on his rugby grassroots beginnings in Charles

Tyrwhitt’s latest England Rugby collection.

27th October, London, UK: Menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt, the official formalwear partner of England Rugby, celebrates the Quilter Nations Series 2025 by bringing fans even closer to the heart of rugby with a series of initiatives from connecting grassroots players with rugby stars, to surprise visit from a rugby legend and exclusive matchday experiences – giving fans a front-row experience of rugby this season.

The campaign kicks off with a surprise visit to Chiswick Rugby Club, where England rugby legend Matt Dawson will join the lucky seniors team at training. From there, key club members who embody the spirit and heart of Chiswick Rugby Club will enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit England’s rugby players in camp at Pennyhill training grounds, getting tips and sharing in the experience, all captured in a campaign by the brand.

The experience will culminate in two unforgettable moments: tickets to one of the season’s biggest games: England vs. New Zealand at Allianz Stadium and the return of Charles Tyrwhitt’s beloved Tyrwhitt Arms, reimagined for Chiswick Rugby Club screening the Eng vs NZ game. The clubhouse will be transformed into the ultimate match-day destination, complete with a celebrity host, food, drinks, and a true sense of camaraderie. Together, these experiences celebrate the spirit of grassroots rugby, creating lifelong memories and reinforcing Charles Tyrwhitt’s commitment to supporting rugby culture from the ground up.

Charles Tyrwhitt ambassador Marcus Smith also reflects on his own grassroots beginnings, from games at the Manila Nomad Sports Club to becoming one of England Rugby’s brightest talents. “My earliest memories of playing rugby were in the Philippines and I was lucky enough to play with my brothers in the tropical heat. We were running around barefoot and having a lot of fun,” says Smith. “My mum has always been my biggest motivator. I’ve also been lucky to have coaches who pushed me to be my best- both as a player and as a person.” Marcus’ reflections underscore the campaign’s message, that rugby’s core values of teamwork, respect and enjoyment begin at the grassroots level.

As part of its ongoing commitment to rugby at every level, Charles Tyrwhitt is also continuing its longstanding partnership with LooseHeadz throughout the tournament, supporting the charity’s mission to promote mental health and wellbeing across rugby clubs globally. The partnership will also highlight International Men’s Day, encouraging men to open up about their mental health. The brand has supported initiatives such as LooseHeadz’s first ever Community Awards in October 2025, which recognized outstanding contributions to grassroots rugby and celebrated the people and communities inspiring the next generation.
