Cavan hosted Newry in another league match. Cavan kicked off and Newry’s Kascper Janik took the ball and ran hard into a large Cavan side. Newry’s forwards continued to run hard at the Cavan side and it wasn’t long until space opened wide for Newry’s backs to exploit. When Newry got the ball wide Trent Tucker was allowed to score in the corner within the first 10 minutes. Newry continued to control the game with Cavan making few if any decisions through-out the game.
