On Monday 26th January, Banbridge Academy 3rdxv hosted Royal Belfast Academical Institution 4thxv in their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Trophy Round of Sixteen game.
The Royal Belfast Academical Institution 4thxv won this game by 45-5 and will now play Royal Belfast Academical Institution 5thxv in the 1/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Trophy.
On Tuesday 27th January, the Ballymena Academy 3rdxv was scheduled to have played Campbell College, Belfast 4thxv in their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup 1/4 Final game.
Unfortunately, this Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup game fell victim to the horrendous weather conditions brought on by Storm Chandra and will now be played on Wednesday 4th February.
On Wednesday 28th January, Ballyclare High School 3rdxv played Belfast Royal Academy 3rdxv in their Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup 1/4 Final game.
The Belfast Royal Academy 3rdxv team won this game by 40-19.
In the replay of their previously drawn Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 3rdxv Cup 1/4 Final game, Royal Belfast Academical Institution 3rdxv played Campbell College, Belfast 3rdxv in a game the Campbell College, Belfast 3rdxv won by 19-17.
In their Danske Bank 3rdxv Trophy 1/4 Final games, Bangor Grammar School 3rdxv hosted Wallace High School 3rdxv in a very high scoring game the Wallace High School 3rdxv team won by 40-31.
Foyle and Londonderry College 3rdxv played Down High School 3rdxv in a game the Foyle College team won by 29-7.
Sullivan Upper School 3rdxv played Regent House School 3rdxv in a game the Sullivan Upper School 3rdxv won by 40-17.

On Saturday 31st January, all the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup, Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Plate and Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Trophy 1/2 Final games took place.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Cup 1/2 Finals, Methodist College, Belfast 2ndxv played Ballymena Academy 2ndxv in a very closely contested game the Ballymena Academy team won, with a last play of the game score, by 8-7.
Campbell College, Belfast 2ndxv played Royal Belfast Academical Institution 2ndxv in a game which saw the Royal Belfast Academical Institution team record a 28-26 win with a last play of the game score.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Plate 1/2 Finals, Belfast Royal Academy 2ndxv played Regent House School 2ndxv in a game the Belfast Royal Academy team won by 24-8
Royal School, Dungannon 2ndxv played Sullivan Upper School 2ndxv in a game refereed by that doyen of the USRFR, Mark Orr, now in his 42nd year of refereeing Ulster Schools’ competition games.
The final score in this game was Royal School, Dungannon 2ndxv 14 Sullivan Upper School 2ndxv 19.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ 2ndxv Trophy 1/2 Finals, Foyle and Londonderry College 2ndxv hosted their near neighbours from Limavady Grammar School 2ndxv.
The Foyle College team won this game by 33-0.
Bangor Grammar School 2ndxv played Omagh Academy 2ndxv in a game that finished as a 10-10 draw.
Also, on Saturday 31st January, the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield 1/4 Finals, three of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Plate 1/4 Finals, both Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl 1/2 Final games and the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy 1/2 Final games all took place.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield 1/4 Finals, Coleraine Grammar School played Royal Belfast Academical Institution in a game the Coleraine Grammar School team won by 17-7.
Omagh Academy played Wallace High School in a game the Wallace High School team won by 18-0.
Royal School, Armagh played Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in a game the Royal School, Armagh team won by 14-7.
Sullivan Upper School played Methodist College, Belfast in a game that finished as a 7-7 draw.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Plate 1/4 Finals, Banbridge Academy played Ballymena Academy in a game the Ballymena Academy team won by 24-12.,
Larne Grammar School played Ballyclare High School in a very closely contested game the Ballyclare High School team won by 3-0.
Rainey Endowed School played Regent House School in a game the Rainey Endowed School team won by 31-0.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Bowl 1/2 Finals, Belfast Royal Academy played Limavady Grammar School in a game the Belfast Royal Academy team won by 43-5.
At the same time, the Royal School, Dungannon Medallion team played Friends’ School, Lisburn in a game the Friends’ School, Lisburn team won by 27-13.
In the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Trophy 1/2 Finals, Belfast High School played Wellington College, Belfast in a game the Belfast High School team won by 47-7.
Cambridge House Grammar School played Foyle and Londonderry College and won the game by 36-10.
