PERENNIALS
With skipper Andy Monson confined to his sickbed the indomitable Ossie Gordon took over the leadership mantle and steered the Dee men to their first ever victory over the star studded Perennials. Recently qualified Legends Ian Martiindale and Robert Eadie led from the front with standout performances from Nick Lord, Stevie Garrett and Davy Skipp. The final try was scored after magnificent work in their own 22 by the Legends led to right wing Michael Moore scoring in the corner to end the game for a 22-17 win and just before the real order of the day commenced in the Clubhouse. Standout performances from the rest of today’s squad as well including Jonny Webster, Stuart Ogg, Davy Henderson, Andy Moylenaux, Phil Collins, Austin Long, Davy Moore, Rab Martin, Paul McGimpsey, Luke Turkington and Ian Rogers. Brian Pyper who was also present and kitted out did not make it onto the pitch – much to the dismay of the assembled hoards. Will Hopes claimed a pulled hamstring prevented him taking part whilst Aaron Martin only showed interest in leaving the sideline when the Dee were awarded a five metre scrum…. alas he had no kit!! Well done men – a great effort & many thanks as ever to Philip Parker and his Perennials for providing the game and the crack afterwards!!
