Students Progress to Next Round of the Junior Cup.
The students had a well deserved victory against Ards 2ndXV in the Junior Cup, winning 60 – 3.
The game started off with the students receiving the kick off. Possession was evenly contested until the students turned over Ards and were rewarded with an early try. Ards hit back at the students and received a penalty in the students 22. Score 5-3. Around 35 minutes into the game the students scored another try making the score 10-3 at half time. The second half kicked off and the initial 10 minutes were very scrappy with plenty of errors for both teams. It didn’t take long for the Ards side to start to tire and the students opened up their defence several times late in the game to come away with a 60-3 win.
